Bohae Brewery Accelerates Promotion of National Sports Festival with Innovative Ideas
Bohae Brewery is carrying out innovative promotional activities for the successful hosting of the ‘104th National Sports Festival’.
First, they produced 49 types of pictogram posters corresponding to the number of sports events, combining local specialties with the sports events held in each region, and distributed them to over 20,000 businesses in 22 cities and counties in Gwangju and Jeonnam.
The sports events are expressed through pictograms, and local specialties familiar to residents, such as Mokpo hairtail, Wando abalone, and Goheung citron, are included to attract interest and enjoyment.
A pictogram is a compound word of ‘picture’ and ‘gram,’ meaning a symbol designed so that anyone can understand the meaning within the image. It is frequently used in the Olympics and public facilities.
The posters were planned and produced entirely by Bohae Brewery.
There are also promotional activities using Bohae Brewery products.
On the back labels of 3 million bottles of ‘Ipsaeju,’ a representative soju of Jeonnam, promotional phrases for the National Sports Festival and QR codes linking to detailed pages were inserted.
By accessing the QR code with a smartphone, users can easily check the overview of the National Sports Festival, including ▲event information and dates ▲sports events ▲local specialties by hosting region through the pictogram posters with just one click.
Pressing the ‘104th National Sports Festival Official Website’ button at the bottom of the page connects to the official event website.
Bohae Brewery’s support for the National Sports Festival promotion was realized after a business agreement was signed between the two organizations on the 8th. According to the agreement, the Bohae Scholarship Foundation also donated 50 million won in scholarships to nurture sports talents.
A Bohae Brewery official said, “As a local company, we have considered various ways to widely promote the National Sports Festival held in the Jeonnam region,” adding, “We hope that the pictogram posters will raise awareness of the National Sports Festival among local residents and inform tourists about local specialties, resulting in high promotional effects and revitalization of the local economy.”
