Brand Reflecting the Tradition of Jinju's Prestigious Gu Family
First Product Launched: 'Jinju-style Hangover Soup'
Ourhome announced on the 31st that it will launch a premium home meal replacement (HMR) brand called 'Gu氏(BanGa)'.
Gu氏BanGa is a premium convenience food brand that embodies the food culture of the prestigious Gu family from Jinju, known for its traditional Korean cuisine. The brand was born from the idea of Gu Jahak, the former chairman of Ourhome, after extensive research. Chairman Gu personally visited famous restaurants nationwide to develop a differentiated base broth and focused on taste quality research. To ensure 'taste consistency,' state-of-the-art customized equipment was introduced. Through the premium convenience food brand Gu氏BanGa, Ourhome plans to introduce soup and stew products inspired by the hearty meat soups enjoyed by the yangban (Korean aristocrats), boasting unparalleled taste quality.
The first product is the 'Jinju-style Hangover Soup.' It is a premium hangover soup made by applying the traditional method of the Jinju region in Gyeongsangnam-do, containing generous amounts of beef and savory beef tripe, along with domestically produced enoki mushrooms and radish. The broth is based on a rich stock simmered for a long time under high temperature and pressure, with various vegetables and brisket abundantly added. Unlike existing commercial hangover soups mainly composed of raw blood curd, this product contains plenty of beef, allowing consumers to enjoy the clean taste of lean meat, and uses domestically produced red pepper powder for a clean and spicy soup flavor.
The Jinju-style Hangover Soup is available for purchase on Ourhome Mall and Ourhome’s official Naver Store. To celebrate the product launch, an event will be held on Ourhome Mall. The product will be sold at a 20% discount until September 12, and customers who leave a review after purchase will be entered into a draw to receive three Jinju-style Hangover Soup products each. Among these, the best review will be selected, and prizes such as Ourhome meal vouchers will be awarded.
