Silla University Signs Business Agreement with the World Culture and Arts Promotion Association
Shilla University has signed a business agreement with the World Arts Promotion Association to revitalize local culture and arts and to nurture professional talent.
The agreement ceremony, held at 3 p.m. on the 29th in the President's Reception Room on the 6th floor of the Shilla University Headquarters, was attended by 18 key figures from both institutions, including Vice President Noh Young-wook and Chairman Kim Chun-yeop of the World Arts Promotion Association, and the two organizations signed a business agreement for industry-academia cooperation.
This agreement includes ▲ mutual cooperation for the development of local culture and arts ▲ exchange and support for nurturing local talent ▲ activation of networks for mutual joint development ▲ employment linkage for job creation in the Busan area, aiming to strengthen mutual cooperation.

View original imageThe World Arts Promotion Association (WAPA) is a corporation under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that promotes Korean culture and arts domestically and internationally by linking Korea’s cultural policies with diplomatic policies, and engages in various activities to enhance international cultural exchange.
The organization conducts various cultural and artistic events such as the Korea Queen Contest and Senior Model Hanbok Fashion Show to promote Korea’s unique culture, provides free traditional Korean wedding ceremonies for multicultural families, and carries out welfare activities such as distributing hanbok and sanitary pads to several developing countries.
Vice President Noh Young-wook of Shilla University stated, “In an era of low birth rates and aging population, the senior generation is a key consumer group leading the future cultural industry, and senior models, who are expected to be active in various fields such as advertising models, show hosts, actors, and academy instructors, will become one of the promising occupational groups.”
He continued, “The Grace Model Course of Shilla University’s Department of Future Convergence provides adult students who dream of and challenge themselves to become senior models with an educational curriculum that lays the foundation for their second life planning, helping them find diverse charms and self-identity by strengthening practical stage experience and professional capabilities.”
