40s Man and Woman Found Dead... Police Say "Not a Married or Cohabiting Couple"
Relationship to Be Determined Through Mobile Phone Forensics
A man and a woman in their 40s were found dead in a villa in Mia-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul.
According to the police on the 30th, at around 9:10 p.m. on the 28th, a woman in her 40s, Ms. A, was found dead along with a man in his 40s, Mr. B, at her residence. The police responded together with the fire department after receiving a report from Ms. A's family at 8:58 p.m. that she was unreachable, and discovered the two.
It was confirmed that the deceased were neither married nor cohabiting. The police plan to conduct forensic analysis on their mobile phones to determine their relationship.
At the time of discovery, Ms. A’s hands were bound with blue tape, and there were signs of assault. Traces of burning charcoal briquettes were also found inside the house. However, no suicide note was found.

The police will not rule out the possibility of homicide and plan to investigate. They intend to perform autopsies on the bodies that afternoon to determine the exact cause and time of death.
