In March, SK Innovation and Kookmin University signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement (MOU) for 'Green ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Design Development' and conducted joint research aiming to raise public awareness about eco-friendly and carbon reduction efforts. As a result, 263 works created by 414 students from Kookmin University's College of Fine Arts and the Graduate School of Techno Design (TED) were exhibited from the 8th to the 13th at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Jung-gu, Seoul.

Among the submissions, 19 outstanding works including gold, silver, and bronze prizes in the 'Happy Green' and 'Technology Transfer' categories were selected through evaluations by SK Innovation affiliates, external stakeholders, faculty advisors, and visitors.

SK Innovation plans to utilize the technology transfer of the nine award-winning works in the technology transfer category to convey the sincerity of ESG management to various stakeholders.

The awards ceremony was attended by representatives from both sides, including Kim Jun, Vice Chairman of SK Innovation, Woo Sang-hoon, Head of ESG Promotion, Lee Tae-hee, Vice President of Planning at Kookmin University, Kim Min, Dean of the Graduate School of Techno Design, and Jang Joong-sik, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, who congratulated the winning teams and encouraged participating students.

Vice Chairman Kim Jun said, "It was impressive that the sincerity of SK Innovation’s ESG management was expressed through the wonderful works of the students," adding, "I hope students who empathize with ESG and carbon reduction will show a blueprint for the future through the power of design."
