Changwon National University Food and Nutrition Students Sweep Awards at International Academic Conference
Students from the Department of Food and Nutrition at Changwon National University received numerous awards at the KoSFoP 44th International Symposium and Annual Meeting, an international academic conference hosted by the Korean Society of Food Storage and Distribution.
According to the university on the 29th, they won one Grand Prize and one Encouragement Prize in the UCC contest, as well as one Excellence Award in the Capstone Design Competition.
Students from the Department of Food and Nutrition at Changwon National University are celebrating their award at the KoSFoP 44th International Symposium and Annual Meeting.

The Grand Prize in the UCC contest was awarded to the ‘Fooddeuk’ team, consisting of undergraduate students Minji Choi, Sumin Kim, Jiyoon Kim, and Jeongjin Seo from the Department of Food and Nutrition.
The Excellence Award went to the ‘Changshiki’ team, made up of students Boyoung Jeon, Hyunseop Kim, Uijin Kim, and Nayoung Kwon.
The Excellence Award in the Capstone Design Competition was given to a project conducted in the Food Chemistry Laboratory titled ‘Development of Alternative Sweeteners Using Imperfect Persimmons.’
The project deliverables were a reorganization of assignments submitted for the Food Chemistry course, a capstone design subject supported by the Changwon National University LINC 3.0 Project Group.

Professor Mijeong Kim stated, “Through the support of the Changwon National University LINC 3.0 Project Group, students in the Department of Food and Nutrition were able to gain diverse experiences and take on challenges,” adding, “We will continue to strive for even better results at various academic conferences in the future.”
