Animation, XR, and AI Convergence Technology Seminar on the 31st at Hansung University
The 'Animation+XR+AI Convergence Technology and Service Model Seminar,' focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) convergence technologies and services in the fields of animation and extended reality (XR), will be held on the 31st at 3 PM at Hansung University Mirae Hall ELC.
This seminar is organized as part of the 2023 Digital Media City Open-Lab (DMC Open-Lab) project supported by the Seoul Business Agency (SBA).
The SBA Open-Lab project aims to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in Seoul by utilizing joint research and research outcomes in the strategic industrial sectors of DMC. It is an open community format where innovative entities such as companies and universities can freely participate, enabling challenging attempts such as joint research on convergence topics and utilization of research results.
The Animation+XR+AI Convergence Technology and Service Model Research Group, which is organizing this seminar, includes Hansung University, Korea Animation Industry Association, SangSangBang, Skonec Entertainment, AskStory DS, and AIPARK, jointly researching AI convergence technologies and services in the fields of animation and XR.
The seminar will feature a special lecture by Lee Dong-yoon, CEO of Antr Reality, titled "Research on 3D Human Shape Reconstruction Technology Using Parametric Models and Differentiable Rendering," along with detailed joint research presentations from the research group. Additionally, a business agreement signing ceremony is scheduled with companies related to this project, including Graphix, The Crossing Lab, Antr Reality, Taktoon Enterprise, and China's Sembricon.
Professor Kim Hyo-yong of Hansung University, who is the chief research director, stated, "Through this research group, we aim to present new models and momentum in the fields of animation and XR that can respond to the AI era, rapidly changing technology and content production environments, and innovative service demands."
