Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) conducted a study tour to strengthen the capabilities of local food production farms and revitalize local food.

According to the county on the 28th, the study tour took place on the 26th with about 10 members from the Muan-gun Local Food Social Cooperative and local food production farms, visiting the Solmoe Holy Site local food direct sales store and the regular direct transaction market, Dangjin Farmers Market 'Dangjang', in Dangjin, Chungnam.

First, they received training from the person in charge at the Dangjin Agricultural Technology Center, who planned and promoted the Dangjin Farmers Market, covering the initial preparation stages and operational methods. They toured the 'Dangjang' market to learn the secrets of the direct transaction market's success and explored ways to promote and develop Muan-gun's local food direct transaction market.

They also visited the Solmoe local food direct sales store located at Solmoe Holy Site, the birthplace of Father Kim Dae-geon, and spent time considering ways to revitalize local food in connection with Muan-gun's tourist attractions.

The farmers who participated in the study tour said, "It was very helpful to experience firsthand the operation status of advanced direct transaction markets," and added, "It would be good to apply what we learned today when shipping to markets and direct sales stores."

Governor Kim San stated, "We will put more effort into strengthening the capabilities of farms for the revitalization and development of Muan-gun local food," and requested, "We plan to continue farm education and study tours in the second half of the year, so we ask for the active interest of local food producers."
