4 Injured in Weapon Rampage in Yeongcheon... Drunken Man in His 50s Wields Knife Recklessly in Bar
A stabbing rampage occurred in Yeongcheon, Gyeongbuk, resulting in four casualties. A man in his 50s, intoxicated, wildly wielded a weapon in a restaurant, killing one customer and injuring three others.
According to the Gyeongbuk Police Agency on the 28th, at 11:22 p.m. on the 27th, Mr. A was arrested on the spot on charges of wielding a weapon at customers in a pub located in Wonje-ri, Geumho-eup, Yeongcheon City.
Mr. B, a man in his 60s sitting at a nearby table, was stabbed in the chest by the weapon Mr. A wielded and was transported to the hospital but died. Three other customers sustained serious injuries to their shoulders, wrists, and arms.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated, "I felt bad because a woman in her 50s in my group sat together with customers at the next table."
