Busan City Holds 'People Power Party Busan Branch and Current Issues Meeting'
Discussion on Busan City Issues and National Fund Securing Measures at City Hall on the 25th at 4 PM

On the 25th at 4 PM, Busan City will hold a 'Current Issues Meeting with the People Power Party Busan City Chapter' in the City Hall video conference room to discuss solutions for major municipal issues.
The meeting will be attended by key officials including Mayor Park Hyung-joon, the Deputy Mayors for Administration and Economy, as well as Busan-area National Assembly members led by Jeon Bong-min, Chairperson of the People Power Party Busan City Chapter.
Through this meeting, the city plans to deeply discuss and build consensus on resolving key issues for Busan's development such as hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo, the prompt construction of Gadeokdo New Airport, necessary enactments and amendments of major laws, and securing next year's national budget.
The agenda for the meeting includes 30 items: 5 major municipal projects, 7 key legislative enactments and amendments, and 18 major national budget projects for next year.
First, the major municipal projects to be focused on include ▲hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo ▲prompt construction of Gadeokdo New Airport ▲relocation of the Korea Development Bank headquarters to Busan ▲rapid promotion of the second phase of Busan Port North Port redevelopment ▲and the public hospital conversion of Chinlye Hospital. These discussions aim to accelerate the promotion of Busan’s key vision projects and resolve regional issues.
Regarding key legislative enactments and amendments, in-depth discussions will be held on ▲the enactment of the Special Act on Urban Convergence Districts ▲amendments to the Nakdong River Basin Act ▲amendments to the Court Organization Act for establishing a Maritime Court in Busan ▲and the enactment of a special law related to high-level radioactive waste management, addressing major city issues and residents’ long-standing demands.
Additionally, for next year’s major national budget projects, consultations will cover 18 key projects including ▲construction of the Busan?Yangsan?Ulsan metropolitan railway ▲undergrounding of the Gyeongbu Line railway ▲development and demonstration of new export research reactors ▲construction of the Hadan?Noksan urban railway line ▲construction of the Sasang?Hadan urban railway line ▲opening of the Hwangnyeong 3 Tunnel road ▲modernization of the Busan Joint Fish Market ▲creation and activation of the Green Data Center cluster ▲and establishment of the Fair Innovation Simulation Center.
