LG U+, University Student Supporters 'Youth Spirit' Present Self-Produced Goods on Wadiz
Supporters Present 5 Self-Planned and Produced Goods
5 Items Including Moment Book, Celeb Kit, Zero Variable Kit
Funding on Wadiz Until August 30
LG Uplus announced on the 24th that the university student supporters group ‘Youth Spirit’ has introduced five Y2K-inspired merchandise items on the crowdfunding platform Wadiz. Youth Spirit is LG Uplus’s university student supporters group, with the meaning of ‘20s who challenge with the spirit of youth.’ The 47 members of the 12th Youth Spirit cohort are directly involved in marketing activities such as digital content creation and consulting for Generation Z as brand ambassadors for LG Uplus’s 20s-exclusive brand ‘Uth.’
This time, Youth Spirit planned and produced the merchandise from the perspective of customers in their 20s. The members of Youth Spirit were given the opportunity to experience everything from customer surveys and product planning to launch firsthand. Shin Chaeyeon, a member of the 12th Youth Spirit, said, “For this merchandise production, I directly conducted surveys, sample design, and ordering. Although the process of turning ideas into actual products was difficult, I believe the know-how gained from this experience will be helpful if I take on projects to grow businesses in the future.”
The five merchandise items currently being funded on Wadiz are ▲ ‘Youth Moment Book (19,800 KRW),’ which records photos and the emotions of the day all at once ▲ ‘Self-love Kit (23,000 KRW),’ useful for drinking alone or solo parties ▲ ultra-light portable emergency kit ‘Zero Variable Kit (21,000 KRW),’ prepared for disaster situations ▲ ‘Feel My Travel Kit (26,500 KRW),’ which records moments of movie-like trips ▲ and ‘Youth Four-Cut Album Kit (12,000 KRW),’ which stores sticker photos taken with friends.
The funding will continue until the 30th. Detailed information about the merchandise can be found on the Wadiz website (wadiz.kr/web/campaign/detail/230456). The funds raised will be used for product production, and the profits will be donated to youth independence-related organizations under the name of ‘Youth Spirit.’
