"Taking Care of Health Even at Convenience Stores"… CU Differentiates Health Functional Products
High-Concentration Collagen Drinks and Protein Ice Cream
CU announced on the 24th that it will launch the industry's first differentiated health functional products in response to the growing consumer interest in health and beauty.
The newly released products are a high-content collagen drink and protein ice cream. The collagen drink is 'Selex Collagen 5000' made by Maeil Dairies, containing 5000 mg of 100% low-molecular fish collagen per pack. This is the highest content among inner beauty drinks sold at convenience stores, up to 130 times more than regular products.
The protein ice cream, called 'Protein Scoop,' is a low-calorie, high-protein ice cream. While there have been low-calorie products before, this is the first protein-containing ice cream at convenience stores. The product comes in a 135 ml cup ice cream available in two flavors, chocolate and milk, with 128 kcal and 170 kcal respectively, each containing more than 10 g of protein.
The model is presenting CU's differentiated health functional products.

The reason CU is expanding differentiated products into the health functional category is due to the continuously increasing demand for related products such as protein drinks. In September, CU plans to launch 'Jjanggu Action Mask Protein Choco,' a differentiated product unique to CU, based on reviews from a protein drink sampler.
