Online Threats of Terror Against Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon... Police Strengthen Inspections
A post threatening to assassinate Park Hyung-jun, the mayor of Busan, was uploaded online, prompting the police to initiate a response.
According to the Yeonje Police Station in Busan, at around 3:51 PM on the 23rd, a post saying "Should I shoot that Busan mayor or whoever with a taser gun?" was uploaded on the online community DC Inside bulletin board.
After receiving the 112 report, the police deployed six patrol cars, detectives, riot police, and a total of about 50 officers, strengthening checkpoints and searches around City Hall.
