Yeongdeok-gun Family Center Conducts Summer Vacation Child and Family Experience Program
Children's Job Experience Provides Nostalgic Relief to Locals Weary from the Heat
Gyeongbuk Yeongdeok-gun Family Center (Director Ian Guk Lee) conducted the multicultural family children growth support project "That Year, We" for families with elementary school children (grades 4 to 6) residing in Yeongdeok-gun, from July to August, with a total of 8 sessions.
This program included children's job experience, fire safety experience education in collaboration with the fire station, and family experiences themed around summer (yacht experience, surfing experience, marine sports experience).
In an interview with participants of the multicultural children growth support project, one said, "During the summer season, waterside places are expensive and reservations are difficult, but thanks to the Family Center program, I was able to have new experiences and enjoy quality time with my child," and added, "I hope Yeongdeok-gun Family Center will offer more programs that I can participate in with my child."
