Gwangju Nam-gu to Operate Climate and Environmental Ecology School Starting Next Month
Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is set to fully operate the Nam-gu Environmental University to share the importance of climate and environment as interest in global warming grows year by year.
On the 23rd, Nam-gu announced that it will operate the Nam-gu Environmental University starting next month to raise residents' awareness of the seriousness of climate and environmental issues.
The Environmental University is a program that offers theoretical and experiential activities related to climate and environment, consisting of a Climate School and an Ecology School.
First, the Climate School program will be held from September 4 to 7 in the medium conference room on the 6th floor of the district office. Participants will examine abnormal climate phenomena in Korea and worldwide caused by climate change and explore ways to practice carbon neutrality.
The number of participants for the Climate School program is limited to 120. Residents who wish to participate must visit their local administrative welfare center and submit an application form by the 29th.
