The '2023 Joint Recruitment Fair for the Financial Sector' has opened. This fair, featuring a record participation of 64 financial institutions, provides on-site interviews, mock interviews, and related information for job seekers aspiring to work in the financial sector.
The Financial Services Commission announced that the 2023 Joint Recruitment Fair for the Financial Sector will be held from the 23rd to the 24th at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. This year, the fair includes 64 institutions: 13 banks, 13 insurance companies, 7 financial investment firms, 9 specialized credit finance companies, 16 financial public enterprises, and 6 associations.
At the fair, on-site interviews will be conducted for job seekers who have passed the preliminary document screening, focusing on the banking sector. More than 35% of on-site interviewees will be selected as outstanding candidates, who will receive an exemption from the first document screening in future bank recruitments. This year, the number of participating banks offering on-site interviews has expanded from 6 to 11, and the number of interviewees has increased from 1,300 to 2,300.
Starting this year, mock interviews for financial public enterprises have been newly introduced and operated, where HR managers from 16 public enterprises conduct mock interviews and provide feedback directly. Additionally, employment information tailored to diverse job seekers is offered through the Hong Kong Employment Pavilion, fintech and other new financial industry pavilions, and a high school graduate recruitment counseling booth. Customized recruitment counseling and employment and job consulting are also provided.
Furthermore, a 'Recruitment Trends Conference' featuring HR managers from 46 institutions will introduce successful strategies and hiring trends for each financial institution. For job seekers unable to attend in person, the event will be live-streamed on the Financial Services Commission’s YouTube channel. Various experiential programs such as the Financial Sector Employment Golden Bell, metacognitive problem-solving games, image consulting, and an employment cafe have also been prepared.
Meanwhile, starting this year, the recruitment information website for the financial sector will be operated continuously even after the fair concludes to provide ongoing recruitment and employment information to job seekers. The website will continuously announce recruitment schedules and numbers for major financial companies and provide information on financial sector job roles.
