Police Track Man Who Stole 3.22 Million Won from ATM at Children's Grand Park

The police are pursuing a man who damaged an automated teller machine (ATM) at Children's Grand Park and stole money.
On the 22nd, the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul announced that they are tracking a man identified as A on suspicion of special theft.
According to the police, A is suspected of breaking the ATM installed next to the amusement park ticket booth inside Children's Grand Park around 2 a.m. on the 20th and stealing 3.22 million won before fleeing.
The police received a report around 10 a.m. that day stating, "The bank ATM machine was damaged," and launched an investigation. It is understood that A arrived at the amusement park around 1:55 a.m. and escaped by jumping over the fence around 6 a.m. Children's Grand Park opens at 10 a.m., so the gates were closed at the time.

A is believed to have used an electric torch cutter to damage the lock area of the ATM to commit the crime. The police consider this a solo act and are tracking A's movements based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and other evidence.
