Gwangju Fire Department Implements 'Fire Prevention Measures' for Chuseok Holiday
The Gwangju Metropolitan Fire Safety Headquarters announced on the 22nd that it will implement fire prevention measures ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The fire prevention measures aimed at preventing safety accidents and ensuring a fire-free Chuseok will be carried out until the 29th.
These measures were promoted due to the increased risk of fires in multi-use facilities caused by the rise in floating population during the holiday period and concerns about residential fires caused by carelessness.
They will inspect and conduct guidance checks on fire-vulnerable sites such as traditional markets and multi-use facilities.
In addition, joint fire safety inspections will be conducted at 24 traditional markets, meetings will be held, and surprise fire safety investigations will be carried out at multi-use facilities. Any violations will be guided to be corrected before the Chuseok holiday.
Furthermore, through non-face-to-face promotions using large electronic billboards, broadcasting media, radio, and social networking services (SNS), they plan to raise awareness of fire prevention and promote the establishment of a safety culture.
