Gwangju Dong-gu Appoints 'Momo' as Volunteer for Busking World Cup
Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, recently announced on the 21st that it held the launching ceremony for the volunteers called ‘Momo’ for the 2nd Gwangju Busking World Cup.
At the launching ceremony, Dong-gu appointed 23 volunteers ‘Momo’ who will carry out SNS promotional activities, international exchange and promotion, and program operation support activities, and held the first orientation.
The ‘Momo’ volunteers will go through processes such as the second group training on September 8, the final check of duties by role on September 25, and will start their active participation for the smooth progress of the Busking World Cup beginning with the welcome party on October 2.
University student Ko Yoo-jin (20), appointed as a ‘Momo’, pledged, “I will do my best for the successful hosting of the Gwangju Busking World Cup, the world’s largest street music festival.”
The volunteer name ‘Momo’ was inspired by Michael Ende’s fantasy novel ‘Momo’.
