Maserati Unveils 730-Horsepower Racing Car 'XCMtrema' World Premiere
Maserati announced on the 21st that it unveiled the new track model MCXtrema for the first time in the world at the car festival 'The Quail' held in Monterey, California, USA on the 18th.
Maserati emphasized that the MCXtrema, made exclusively for the track, delivers performance like a true 'beast.' It is equipped with a powerful 730-horsepower engine and is praised for its bold and sophisticated design. The Quail, chosen as the world premiere stage for the MCXtrema, is a special event held every summer where car enthusiasts from around the world gather on the Monterey Peninsula to celebrate automotive design and engineering.
The MCXtrema is produced as a limited edition with only 62 units worldwide. Maserati said the MCXtrema was designed for purist collectors and loyal customers of the brand.
The MCXtrema was born from the collaboration between the brand’s design team and engineering team. This vehicle was created as a racing model to continue the legacy of the MC12, which swept victories in global racing from 2005 to 2010. It inherits the past racing heritage while also inspiring future race car production.
Davide Grasso, Maserati CEO, said, "The MCXtrema embodies the sporty spirit inherent in Maserati’s DNA," adding, "With excellent manufacturing capabilities and uncompromising performance, it will stand out in the field of luxury engine production."
