Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station, Crime Prevention Activities in Foreign Resident-Dense Areas
Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station announced on the 18th that it conducted joint patrols with the volunteer crime prevention squad in the Koryoin Village, designated as a foreigner safety zone, to prevent crimes involving foreigners.
These activities were carried out to raise awareness of crime, as violent incidents have recently increased in areas densely populated by foreigners.
Jo Yoon-hee, Head of the Community Safety Division, said, “We conducted joint patrols with the volunteer crime prevention squad to instill a culture of respecting the law among foreigners and to alleviate residents' anxiety. We will take the lead in making Gwangsan safe.”
