Foreign National Arrested for Stabbing Colleague Over Financial Dispute
A foreigner who stabbed a coworker with a weapon over a financial dispute was arrested by the police.
The Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju announced on the 18th that they have detained and are investigating A (in his 20s), a Vietnamese national, on suspicion of aggravated assault.
A is accused of stabbing B, a construction worker he works with, once in the thigh with a weapon in an alley in Wolgye-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City at around 9:25 p.m. the previous day.
It was investigated that the dispute over money escalated emotions, leading A to come out of his home carrying a weapon.
B’s life is not in danger.
