Busan Office of Education Invites Kim Byung-joon, Acting Chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries, for a Special Staff Lecture
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold a special lecture by Kim Byung-joon, Acting Chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries, on the 17th at 10 a.m. in the main auditorium of the Office of Education, targeting about 500 employees.
This special lecture is organized as a project to retain local talent by examining the role of education and to unite efforts for attracting the ‘2030 Busan World Expo’ to leap forward as a global hub city.
On this day, Kim Byung-joon, Acting Chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries, will give a lecture on local autonomy and balanced regional development under the theme "Why Decentralization? The Nation Exists Within the Neighborhood."
Lecturer Kim Byung-joon currently serves as Acting Chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries and the 11th Chairman of the Community Chest of Korea, a social welfare fundraising organization. He is an expert in local autonomy, having previously served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Human Resources Development, and as Chairman of the Special Committee on Balanced Regional Development of the 20th Presidential Transition Committee.
