Safety of 10 Muryangpan-Structure Apartments Participated by GH Developers
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH), which participated as the developer, confirmed through a full inspection that there are no issues with the 10 flat slab structure apartment complexes in the province.
The flat slab structure is a design where columns directly support the slab (concrete ceiling) without horizontal beams. Concerns over poor construction have spread following a collapse accident in April in the underground parking lot of an apartment complex constructed with a flat slab structure by Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) in Geomdan, Incheon.
GH announced on the 16th that from the 3rd to the 5th, it conducted emergency safety inspections including non-destructive testing and rebar detection on four complexes under construction in the province, together with safety diagnosis experts, supervisors, and construction companies, and from the 9th to the 11th, it inspected six completed complexes, confirming that there are no structural issues.

The four complexes currently under construction are Namyangju Jingeon A3 and A5, Dongtan 2 A94, and Anyang Naengcheon. The six completed complexes are Namyangju Jigeum A4, Namyangju Jingeon A1, B4, and B5, Dongtan 2 A86, and Namyangju Dasan Station A2.
