Detective Sergeant Caught Drunk Driving on Off-Duty Day
Baek Nam-ik, the chief of the Suseo Police Station in Seoul, has been placed on administrative leave due to a drunk driving issue involving a police officer under his command.
On the 14th, according to the police, the National Police Agency held Chief Baek accountable for related command responsibilities and took the administrative leave measure on the same day.
Earlier, on the 11th, Sergeant A from the Suseo Police Station was caught driving under the influence at the main gate of an apartment complex. That day, the National Police Agency had issued emergency duty orders to police agencies in each city and province in preparation for Typhoon Khanun, the 6th typhoon of the year.
