Koo Kwang-mo, LG Group Chairman, Receives 5.995 Billion KRW in First Half-Year Compensation
16% Decrease Compared to Last Year’s First Half Salary
LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo received a total compensation of 5.995 billion KRW in the first half of the year.
On the 14th, LG Corp. announced through its semi-annual report that Chairman Koo received this compensation during the period, including a salary of 2.338 billion KRW and a bonus of 3.657 billion KRW. The total compensation for Chairman Koo decreased by 16.0% compared to the first half of the previous year (7.139 billion KRW).
Regarding the bonus payment, the company stated, "Despite the challenging business environment, in 2022, LG Corp. achieved consolidated sales of 7.186 trillion KRW and operating profit of 1.9414 trillion KRW," and "considered contributions to business structure advancement and enhancement of business competitiveness for discovering future growth engines from a long-term perspective," it explained.
LG Group Vice Chairman Kwon Bong-seok received a total of 2.363 billion KRW in the first half, including a salary of 922 million KRW and a bonus of 1.441 billion KRW. LG Group President Ha Beom-jong received 882 million KRW, consisting of a salary of 468 million KRW and a bonus of 414 million KRW.

Meanwhile, at LG Electronics, President Cho Joo-wan received 1.561 billion KRW in the first half. LG Electronics explained, "Considering the company-wide sales of 83.4673 trillion KRW, operating profit of 3.5501 trillion KRW, and operating profit margin of 4.3% in 2022," and added, "Qualitative growth-focused portfolio advancement, concretization of future growth engine businesses, and securing leading technologies were considered as non-quantitative indicators."
