[Photo] 'Do You Remember the Names of These People?'
On the 14th, a Dream Engraving Board with the phrase "Do you remember the names of these people?" was hung on the outer wall of the Seoul Metropolitan Library in Jung-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the 78th anniversary of Liberation Day. The figures on the Dream Engraving Board are among the 33 independence activists awarded the Order of Merit for National Foundation, Republic of Korea, who passed away before witnessing the liberation in 1945 and have surviving photographic records. While well-known independence activists such as Yu Gwansun and Ahn Jung-geun are included, the board also features relatively lesser-known activists whose faces or names have not been widely recognized until now.
