[Weather] Heatwave and Tropical Nights Across Most of the Country... Showers in Some Areas
On Monday the 14th, hot weather is forecasted for most parts of the country.
The morning low temperatures are expected to range from 21 to 25 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs from 27 to 34 degrees Celsius. Tropical nights will occur mainly in urban areas, the west coast, the south coast, and Jeju Island.
Despite the heat, the sky will generally be cloudy nationwide, with occasional increased cloudiness from the afternoon. Gangwon Yeongdong will gradually become cloudy from the afternoon. There may be around 5mm of rain in the northern Gyeonggi west coast in the morning. Due to easterly winds, there will be occasional rain until dawn on the east coast of Gangwon and the east coast of Gyeongbuk, and from night on Gangwon Yeongdong.
The expected rainfall from the night of the 13th to the 14th is 10 to 60mm on the five islands in the West Sea, and around 5mm in Gangwon Yeongdong and the east coast of Gyeongbuk. In the southern inland areas of Gyeonggi, Gangwon Yeoseo, inland Chungnam, northern Chungbuk, inland Jeonbuk, Gwangju and Jeonnam, northwestern and northeastern inland Gyeongbuk, western inland Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island, showers of 5 to 30mm are expected from afternoon to evening.
Fine dust levels will be 'Good' to 'Moderate' nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion, but dense fog with visibility below 200 meters may occur in inland Gangwon, inland Jeonbuk, and inland Gyeongbuk from dawn to morning.
