"Understanding the Local Community"... Gyeongnam Jeongbodae Awards 'C.L.C UCC Contest' Winners
Gyeongnam Information University held the ‘KIT C.L.C UCC Contest’ on the 11th to draw out creative and novel ideas from enrolled students, and held the awards ceremony in the university’s main conference room.
This contest was conducted from May 9 to July 14 with two themes for the local community where the university is located: ‘Excitement-filled Sasang’ and ‘Jump Up SASANG!!’
A total of 32 teams submitted video works, and in the ‘Jump Up SASANG!!’ category, the team ‘Cheria’ (Mechanical Department students Gong Minjun and Kwon Donghyun) was selected as the grand prize winner, receiving the President’s Award and a prize of 1,000,000 KRW. Additionally, in the ‘Excitement-filled Sasang’ category, the team ‘Sasang Ippeujo’ (Mechanical Department student Ahn Yongseon) won the President’s Award and a prize of 500,000 KRW.
Gong Minjun, the grand prize winner from the Mechanical Department, said, “While preparing for the contest, I was able to deeply consider the needs of Sasang-gu, where the university is located,” and added, “Filming and editing the video with my team members was a great experience, and having such a good result will remain a great memory of my university life.”
President Kim Daesik said, “I believe that the experience of students understanding the local community and creating videos about it will become valuable career experience for them,” and added, “We will develop many programs to discover and nurture the abilities of our students in the future.”

This contest was conducted as part of the HiVE (Higher Vocational Education Hub) project. The project supports Gyeongnam Information University in collaboration with Sasang-gu, Busan, to serve as a hub for higher vocational education based on the region by fostering talent in specialized local fields, operating lifelong vocational education programs, and solving local issues.
