Changwon Special City Encourages Outstanding Public Officials with Awards for Excellent Achievements
On the 11th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam selected four teams that achieved remarkable results in key projects and major policy implementation through proactive attitudes and outstanding expertise in their respective duties as the 'Excellent Public Officials of the Month' and awarded them commendations to encourage their efforts.
The Taxation Division Lease Tax Source Management Team, Child and Youth Division Child Protection Team, Agricultural Policy Division Rural Development Team, and Jinhae-gu Safety and Construction Division Disaster Prevention Team were honored with commendations, received Changwon Love Gift Certificates as prizes, and were granted reward leave for all team members.
Among them, the Lease Tax Source Management Team made significant contributions to expanding local autonomous finances by increasing tax revenue by 31% compared to the same month last year through attracting lease and rental vehicles. The Child Protection Team was recognized for contributing to child protection and rights enhancement by conducting a full survey on unregistered children, a recent major social issue, and requesting investigations for children whose whereabouts were unknown.
Additionally, the Rural Development Team was selected for the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' Rural Agreement contest and Rural Space Maintenance Project contest, securing a total project cost of 39.6 billion KRW, thereby contributing to specialized development and spatial regeneration in rural areas such as Naeseo, Jinbuk, Jinjeon, Jindong, and Gusan.
The Jinhae-gu Disaster Prevention Team resolved noise and odor complaints from the Jinhae Yeojwacheon waterfall, which had persisted since 2019, through voluntary participation, and was evaluated as an excellent case by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, greatly contributing to enhancing institutional trust.
