Support Including Card Payment and Insurance Premium Deferral
Hana Financial Group will provide loans and other support worth 200 billion KRW to individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises affected by Typhoon 'Khanun'.
On the 11th, Hana Financial Group announced that it will carry out such emergency financial support at the group level.
First, Hana Bank will provide new funds totaling up to 200 billion KRW, including emergency living stabilization loans of up to 50 million KRW for individuals affected by the typhoon and emergency business stabilization loans of up to 500 million KRW per company for small and medium-sized enterprises.
In addition, upon maturity of existing credit, the maturity will be extended for up to one year without principal repayment. Repayment of installment payments will be deferred for up to six months, and loan interest rates will also be reduced by up to 1 percentage point (P).
Hana Card will also provide financial support to customers affected by the typhoon, including ▲a maximum six-month deferral of credit card payment charges and ▲installment payments for up to six months. In addition, ▲it will offer a 30% discount on fees for long- and short-term card loans used within six months after the typhoon damage date.
Hana Life Insurance has prepared ▲up to six months’ deferral of insurance premium and insurance contract loan interest payments and ▲prompt payment of accident insurance claims related to typhoon damage. Hana General Insurance also plans to pay up to 50% of the estimated insurance amount in advance even before the accident investigation is completed when insurance claims related to typhoon damage are filed. Financial support such as deferring insurance premium payments for up to six months will be provided to long-term insurance policyholders affected by the typhoon.
