100 Billion KRW Funding Support for Gyeongnam BC Card Customers
Benefits Including Up to 6 Months Payment Deferral
BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 9th that it has prepared a support program to assist with rapid damage recovery in the event of damage caused by Typhoon 'Khanun'.
As the government raised the crisis alert for Typhoon Khanun, the 6th typhoon, to the highest level of 'Severe' and made thorough efforts to prevent damage, BNK Gyeongnam Bank is also preparing financial support and damage recovery assistance to respond quickly in case any damage occurs.
BNK Gyeongnam Bank will provide emergency funds totaling 100 billion KRW to small and medium-sized enterprises and individuals affected by typhoon damage.
Within the confirmed damage range, individuals can receive emergency living expense loans up to 20 million KRW, and small and medium-sized enterprises can receive emergency management fund loans up to 500 million KRW.
Additionally, a special preferential interest rate of up to 1.0% will be offered, and depending on the recipient, applications for installment repayment deferral are also possible.
Gyeongnam BC Card customers who suffered damage will receive benefits such as a payment deferral of up to 6 months.
The 'Typhoon Damage Recovery Emergency Volunteer Group' has also been organized to assist with rapid damage recovery.
BNK Gyeongnam Bank plans to monitor overall disaster damage in the region and urgently dispatch the volunteer group to support damage recovery depending on the extent of the damage.
Choi Dae-sik, head of the Social Contribution and Public Relations Department, said, "The most important thing is that no damage occurs to the region and its residents due to the typhoon. We hope to minimize typhoon damage through sufficient preparation. BNK Gyeongnam Bank will do its best to proactively prepare for any possible damage and provide swift support for damage recovery."

Meanwhile, BNK Gyeongnam Bank also provided rapid financial support of 100 billion KRW for damage recovery during the heavy rains in July and donated 10 million KRW to the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea for the 'Heavy Rain Damage Special Fundraising'.
