Korea Military Mutual Aid Association Appoints Kim Yong-seok as Director of Construction Investment Division and Head of Construction Infrastructure Headquarters
The Military Mutual Aid Association announced on the 9th that it has appointed Kim Yong-seok, Head of the Construction Infrastructure Headquarters, as the new Director of the Construction Investment Division. The term is three years, with the possibility of one renewal.
The new Director of the Construction Investment Division, Kim Yong-seok, graduated from the Korea Military Academy (43rd class) and earned a master's degree in Architectural Engineering from Yonsei University. He has served as Commander of the Capital Corps Engineer Battalion and Chief of Engineers at the ROK-US Combined Forces Command.
After his discharge, he joined the Military Mutual Aid Association and served as Head of the Member Housing Business Headquarters and Head of the Construction Infrastructure Headquarters. He is recognized for flawlessly performing the duties of Acting Director of the Construction Investment Division during the approximately 12-month vacancy.
Director Kim is the second case of promotion to CIO from within the organization. The Military Mutual Aid Association previously appointed Kim Jae-dong, Head of the Securities Management Headquarters, as Director of the Financial Investment Division in 2017.

The CIO of the Construction Investment Division at the Military Mutual Aid Association is responsible for real estate and construction infrastructure investments as well as the member housing business. As of the end of last year, the investment assets in the construction division amounted to KRW 4.648 trillion, accounting for approximately 46.8% of the Military Mutual Aid Association's total investment assets.
