'Smuggling' Joins Competition Section at Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival
"Filled with Unexpected Female Heroes"
Director Ryu Seung-wan's film "Mil-su" has been invited to the competition section of the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival. According to distributor NEW on the 9th, it will be screened in the Orbita section. This competition section features thriller, action, and black comedy genre films competing against each other. The best work award is selected by audience votes. Korean films previously invited include "Hunt (2022)", "The Villainess (2019)", "The Spy Gone North (2018)", "Believer (2018)", and "The Age of Shadows (2016)".
The Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival is a world-renowned genre film event. Executive Director ?ngel Sala explained the selection background, saying, "It is an entertaining and moving Korean action-adventure film full of unexpected female heroes," and added, "Director Ryu Seung-wan once again delivers emotion to the audience with new attempts and passion."
