On the 14th, ahead of the delisting, Dentistry Investment, the major shareholder of Osstem Implant, which entered into organized trading from the 3rd to the 11th, announced on the 9th that it had purchased about half of the circulating shares during the first four trading days.
On the first day of organized trading, the 3rd, Dentistry Investment acquired 20,382 shares. This accounts for 34.5% of the remaining 59,135 circulating shares after the public tender offer.
Organized trading is conducted through single-price trading every 30 minutes without price limits. However, in the case of Osstem Implant, due to the par value consolidation, the trading price per share is high at 1.9 million KRW, which has limited volatility.
On the second trading day, the 4th, Dentistry Investment acquired 3,417 shares. On the third and fourth trading days, the 7th and 8th, they acquired 2,667 and 1,917 shares respectively. During the first four trading days of organized trading, Dentistry Investment secured a total of 28,383 shares, purchasing 48% of the circulating shares. As a result, including Chairman Choi Kyu-ok’s shares and treasury stock after the par value consolidation, the major shareholder’s stake in Osstem Implant increased to 98%.
A representative of Dentistry Investment stated, “With only three days left during which minority shareholders can sell at 1.9 million KRW per share on the market, we are considering expanding trading hours to include off-hours single-price trading from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. starting on the 9th,” adding, “Under no circumstances will the purchase price be increased.”
