Gwangju Police Arrest Threatener Who Warned of School Stabbing Incident
A suspect who posted an online threat to commit a 'weapon crime' at a high school in Gwangju has been apprehended.
On the 6th, the Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency and Gwangsan Police Station announced that they had urgently arrested Mr. A on charges of intimidation.
Mr. A is accused of posting an online notice on a community site that he would bring a weapon to a high school in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.
The police discovered the post, identified the author, and arrested Mr. A.
After accurately determining the motive and details of the incident, the police plan to decide on the handling of Mr. A's custody.
On the same day, a threatening post targeting an elementary school in Gwangsan-gu was also uploaded to an online community.
The police are investigating the author separately, as they believe the elementary school threat and Mr. A's crime are unrelated.
