GS25 Provides 40,000 Free Frozen Water Bottles Daily at Jamboree Event Venue
GS25 announced on the 4th that it will provide emergency relief supplies to Jamboree participants who are facing difficulties due to the recent high temperatures.
As emergency relief supplies, 40,000 frozen water bottles per day will be provided. These supplies will be distributed starting from the 4th to the scouts and leaders within the Jamboree site in the Saemangeum area, with frozen water bottles being supplied from the 6th.
GS25 urgently signed a lease contract for large freezers with the nearby Naju Fisheries Cooperative to overcome the adverse conditions of lacking large-scale freezing facilities in the Saemangeum area, enabling the supply of frozen water bottles.
GS25 swiftly decided to provide emergency frozen water bottles and support refrigerated and frozen vehicles to offer some relief from the heat and harsh camping conditions. To help overcome the ongoing heatwave, additional support such as shade tents, free phone charging, and cooling facilities are being provided mainly at six Jamboree hub stores. Additional support to assist participants exhausted by the heat is also under consideration.
