In the photos released by Everland, the black markings on the baby pandas’ bodies have become much clearer compared to previous appearances. Baby pandas are born without any markings, but as they grow, black patterns appear on their eyes, ears, front legs, back, and hind legs.
Although they are twins, they can be easily distinguished by their individual features. The first twin’s back marking is in a V shape, while the second twin’s back marking is closer to a U shape. Also, the first twin is slightly taller, and the second twin has a chubbier body with a wider belly.

Currently, both twin pandas weigh over 800g. As of the 3rd, the first twin weighs 879g, and as of the 31st of last month, the second twin weighs 821g. At birth, the two pandas weighed 180g and 140g respectively.
News has also been shared that the twin pandas have successfully rolled over. Song Young-gwan, the caretaker known as 'Songbao,' said, "I feel overwhelmed, like a parent watching their child succeed in their first roll over," adding, "Their adorable appearance makes it impossible to hold back my laughter."
The names of the twin pandas will be decided after they reach 100 days old. Pu Bao's name was also chosen through a contest around the time he turned 100 days old.

As the twins grow, the behavior of their mother panda, Aibao, has also changed slightly.
Caretaker Song said, "We have observed Aibao briefly putting her babies down on the ground when she defecates or drinks water," explaining, "This signals the period when the baby pandas’ fur becomes denser and they start to regulate their own body temperature. It also means Aibao can use her body more freely, which helps her postpartum recovery."
He continued, "She shows this behavior about once a day when she judges that the babies, herself, and the surroundings are stable," adding, "It seems that Aibao is following a step-by-step parenting process considering the overall situation."
He also said, "The interval between the twins being in their mother’s arms and the incubator has increased from 2-3 days to 5 days, and soon it will extend to 10 days," noting, "This shows that the baby pandas’ adaptability is also improving."
The twin pandas are being artificially fed alternately in the caretaker’s arms because their mother, Aibao, cannot care for both twins alone.
Pandas are known to be animals that have difficulty reproducing naturally. Their fertile period occurs only once a year, lasting just 1 to 3 days in the spring. The probability of giving birth to twins is 40 to 50%.

Everland earned the title of the first zoo in Korea to succeed in natural panda breeding with the birth of Fubao in 2020. This time, they have succeeded in natural breeding of twin pandas, with two female twin pandas born on the 7th to mother Aibao and father Lubao.
Some netizens refer to the first twin, who is still unnamed, as 'Dongbao,' and the second as 'Saengbao.' The names of the twin pandas will be decided after they reach 100 days old. Fubao’s name was also chosen through a public contest around the time it turned 100 days old.
