Seoul Jungbu Police Station, Complete Replacement of School Zone Protective Fences
The Jungbu Police Station in Seoul announced on the 2nd that it has completely replaced the aging protective fences within school zones, including Sindang Elementary School, in collaboration with local governments to create safe routes for children to go to and from school.
Protective fences are facilities installed to ensure pedestrian safety by preventing jaywalking, and the yellow design-type fences are known to have a positive effect on preventing child traffic accidents as they allow drivers to easily recognize the school zone.
In accordance with the revised Road Traffic Act Enforcement Regulations, the Jungbu Police Station plans to continue improving facilities by installing yellow crosswalks and road markings at the start and end points of protection zones within school zones, expanding unmanned enforcement equipment, and increasing the installation of protective fences.
