Lotte Mart announced on the 2nd that sales of premium Korean beef at Lotte Mart have increased by nearly 40% since the launch of its high-end Korean beef brand, 'Marble Nine.'

Marble Nine is Lotte Mart's high-end Korean beef brand that carefully selects only BMS (Beef Marbling Score) number 9, which is awarded to 1++ (Two Plus) grade beef with the highest evaluations in intramuscular fat, meat color, fat color, texture, and maturity.
To establish differentiated competitiveness in the premium meat market, Lotte Mart launched Marble Nine in August last year, emphasizing grade and quality. Since the launch of Marble Nine on August 4th last year until July 30th this year, sales of premium Korean beef graded 1++ or higher increased by about 40% compared to the same period before. Marble Nine accounted for about 20% of total Korean beef sales.
Marble Nine is attracting new customers while also creating loyal customers. The number of new customers (those who had not visited Lotte Mart for more than six months) who purchased Marble Nine doubled compared to new customers who purchased 1++ (9) grade Korean beef in the previous year, and about half of the customers who purchase Marble Nine are loyal customers who buy on average more than once a week.
Lotte Mart plans to satisfy customers' diverse purchasing desires by introducing new Marble Nine products. 'Marble Nine T-bone Steak' will be sold at a total of five stores, including Lotte Mart Zeta Plex Jamsil branch. Across all Lotte Mart stores, 'Marble Nine Low-fat Steak' made from kurisal and boseopsal cuts, and 'Marble Nine Home Makase' consisting of four cuts?tenderloin, sirloin, skirt, and chuck flap?will also be offered. As a special product for the first anniversary, Lotte Mart will release 'Marble Nine Marinated Steak,' a unique product with Chinese-style seasoning developed in collaboration with seasoning expert Chef Oh Joon-tak, and 'Marble Nine Exclusive Seasoning' using sancho pepper, hamcho salt, and mazao.
To celebrate the first anniversary of Marble Nine, Lotte Mart will hold an offline exclusive gift event from the 5th to the 31st. Customers who purchase Marble Nine products worth 100,000 KRW or more and meet the social networking service (SNS) certification conditions can receive the gift, which is a pair of Marble Nine exclusive chopsticks, at the 'How Can We Help You?' corner inside Lotte Mart stores.
