Installation of 'Jigu-ga Joaham' Straw Return Boxes at Libraries and Daycare Centers
Namyang Dairy Products announced on the 1st that it will carry out a consumer participation eco-friendly campaign using DIY-type straw return boxes as part of its ESG management (Environment, Social, Governance).

This campaign involves collecting discarded banners that are used once and thrown away, and upcycling them into small plastic return boxes called 'Jigu-ga Joahamn' (The Earth Likes It). The company explained that the return boxes are installed in facilities such as libraries and daycare centers to increase consumers' accessibility and interest in upcycling.
The name of the return box produced by Namyang Dairy Products was selected as the grand prize winner in a citizen contest with about 430 participants, meaning 'The Return Box the Earth Likes.'
This year alone, a total of 83 locations applied for the installation of return boxes, and so far, straw return boxes have been delivered to 20 locations. The collected waste materials through the return boxes will be donated to the Seoul Upcycling Plaza to be used for educational kits and eco-friendly product manufacturing.

A Namyang Dairy Products official said, "As interest in the use of disposable products and proper disposal increases, we have prepared a campaign that consumers can easily and conveniently practice in their daily lives," adding, "We plan to introduce various programs to further strengthen small actions that protect the Earth."
