KT announced on the 1st that it will launch the ‘Genie TV Tab 2,’ which combines IPTV and LTE tablet functions, on the same day. The Genie TV Tab 2 is a device that provides IPTV services (live channel viewing, VOD replay, Kids Land, etc.) through KT WiFi at home and allows users to enjoy various content via the LTE network on the tablet when outside.
The Genie TV Tab 2 comes in one color: Gray. The screen size has increased to 10.5 inches compared to its predecessor. Equipped with an Octa-core processor and 4GB RAM, it has been improved to reduce concerns about speed and battery life, allowing users to enjoy content freely. Additionally, it supports ▲64GB internal memory ▲quad speakers/Dolby Atmos ▲7040mAh large-capacity battery ▲weight of 508g ▲Android OS 13. Especially, KT’s specialized apps such as ‘Genie TV,’ ‘Genie TV Mobile,’ and ‘KT Home School X Home Run’ are pre-installed on the tablet, enhancing accessibility to Genie TV and customer convenience.
The official retail price of the KT Genie TV Tab 2 is 390,500 KRW. Existing Genie TV customers can use IPTV on this device with a multiple line discount at 8,800 KRW per month (with a 3-year contract for Genie TV Essence). Customers using KT’s ‘5G Special’ or ‘LTE Premium’ plans or higher can receive the ‘Data Together Large’ plan worth 11,000 KRW per month for free, allowing LTE usage without additional charges. If customers want to use IPTV and LTE services separately, they can subscribe to ‘Genie TV’ and any of KT’s smart device-exclusive plans they prefer.

To celebrate the launch, KT is holding a TV coupon giveaway event. After activation, customers will receive one 5,000 KRW Genie TV coupon the following month. The event period is from the 1st to October 31st, and detailed information can be found on the website. Kim Byung-kyun, Executive Director of KT’s Device Business Division, said, “We have improved the existing device to allow TV viewing anywhere in the home and launched it. We will continue to introduce devices that enable customers to use KT’s services satisfactorily.”
