HiteJinro Publishes '2023 Sustainability Management Report'
HiteJinro announced on the 1st that it has published its first "2023 Sustainability Management Report," which contains its ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management activities and achievements.
The report includes the company's impact on the economy, environment, and people, as well as efforts and achievements toward sustainable development. It expands the scope of information disclosure compared to previous sustainability reports and comprehensively summarizes the trends over three years from 2020 to 2022, focusing on major ESG activities from last year.
Looking at the main contents, the environmental section reveals mid- to long-term goals such as "25!CHALLEN," aiming for systematic environmental management by 2025, and "2050 to ZERO!" for carbon neutrality. The social section includes various CSR activities such as solving social issues through active engagement with local communities and co-prosperity with partner companies. In the governance section, readers can find information on board composition and operation, governance improvement status, and ethical compliance management.
This report was prepared by applying the GRI Standards 2021 international reporting guidelines for sustainability management. To enhance the report's credibility, it also underwent third-party verification by an independent external professional organization (BSI). The report is available for anyone to view and download on the HiteJinro website.
Approaching its 100th anniversary, HiteJinro launched an ESG Committee in September last year and declared its ESG management. Under the ESG management vision of "Brewing a healthy tomorrow that everyone dreams of," the company has set three core ESG strategies: ▲ advancing as an environmentally friendly leading company (E) ▲ growing together with stakeholders (S) ▲ establishing a foundation for sustainable management (G).
