Mayor Lee Jae-jun stated at the 'Expanded Executive Meeting in August' held on the 31st in the city hall's medium conference room, "The mobile direct democracy platform Saebit Toktok has gained over 15,000 members within a month of its launch," adding, "My goal is for all 1.23 million Suwon citizens to join Saebit Toktok and actively participate in city administration."
He continued, "I ask all public officials to unite their efforts so that Saebit Toktok succeeds and direct democracy can be realized in Suwon."
The mobile city administration participation platform Saebit Toktok is a citizen participation and communication plaza. It consists of menus such as proposal discussions, surveys and voting, application submissions, and Suwon Saebit Care.
In 'Proposal Discussions,' when a policy idea is proposed, other citizens express their opinions on the idea through comments and engage in discussions. Ideas that gain the sympathy of many citizens are reviewed by the responsible department and, if adopted, implemented as policies. The 'Suwon Saebit Care Project' can also be applied for through Saebit Toktok.

Mayor Lee Jae-jun expressed gratitude, saying, "Citizens, public officials, and staff from collaborative organizations have raised disaster relief funds amounting to 120 million won for our sister city Nonsan and exchange city Bonghwa-gun, which suffered damage from the heavy rains," and added, "Volunteers conducted flood recovery volunteer work in Nonsan for three days."
