Korea Investment & Securities, US Stock Options Trading Event
Korea Investment & Securities, a subsidiary of Korea Financial Group, announced on the 31st that it will hold a U.S. stock options trading event until September 29.
The event is open to all individual customers who have a Bankis overseas derivatives account. Bankis is an online-only account and trading service that can be opened non-face-to-face or through commercial banks.
During the event period, all customers who trade at least one U.S. stock option contract will receive a coffee coupon. Additionally, customers who trade 100 or more contracts will receive an investment support fund of 100,000 KRW, and those who trade 1,000 or more contracts will receive 1,000,000 KRW.
Options refer to the right to buy or sell an underlying asset such as stocks or stock indices at a predetermined price at a specific point in time. They are often used to maximize investment profits by predicting the direction of stocks or as a hedging tool to offset price fluctuation risks.
Korea Investment & Securities was the first domestic securities firm last year to establish a U.S. individual stock options trading system. Since then, it has expanded the available stocks for investment, and currently, investors can trade 75 U.S. stock monthly expiration options and weekly options. A discount event on overseas stock options fees is also ongoing until the end of the year.
