Prosecutor Jin Hyewon Indicted for Posting "Julie Spelling Ana" on SNS
Jin Hyewon, deputy chief prosecutor of the Busan District Prosecutors' Office (age 48, 34th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute), has been indicted for posting mocking comments about First Lady Kim Geon-hee, wife of President Yoon Seok-yeol, on social networking service (SNS).
The Criminal Division 1 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Sang-hyun) announced on the 29th that Jin was indicted without detention on charges of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
Jin is accused of damaging the reputation of First Lady Kim by posting a past photo of her on her Facebook last September with the caption, "I don't know if you know the spelling of Julie." At the end of the post, she also included a compound English word implying "prostitute."

After the controversy, Jin deleted the post. On May 2nd, Prosecutor General Lee Won-seok requested disciplinary action against Jin from the Ministry of Justice.
