Gyeonggi Office of Education to Announce GED Test Locations for Elementary, Middle, and High Schools on the 10th of Next Month
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has announced the test locations and important information for examinees for the "2023 2nd Elementary, Middle, and High School Equivalency Examination" to be held on the 10th of next month.
The test locations include ▲11 schools located in the southern areas of Suwon and Yongin ▲6 schools located in the northern area of Uijeongbu ▲3 institutions including juvenile detention centers and prisons ▲and 1 separate test site for COVID-19 confirmed cases.
A total of 8,604 candidates applied for this exam, including ▲591 for elementary school equivalency ▲1,757 for middle school equivalency ▲6,256 for high school equivalency, which is 200 more than the 8,404 applicants for the 1st exam held in April.
Examinees must bring their admission ticket and identification card and enter the test site by 8:30 AM on the exam day. Acceptable IDs include resident registration cards, youth IDs, passports containing resident registration numbers, and disability registration cards.
If an admission ticket is lost, examinees can submit their ID and one photo identical to the one attached to the application form to the test headquarters on the exam day to receive a reissued admission ticket.
If a resident registration card (or youth ID) is lost, an application confirmation for reissuance of the resident registration card (or youth ID) received after applying for reissuance can be used as a temporary ID.
Examinees can check their assigned test site (room) on the Provincial Office of Education’s website.
COVID-19 confirmed cases are not allowed to enter general test sites and must take the exam at a separate test site. If the exam date falls within the recommended isolation period for confirmed cases, candidates can apply to take the exam at the separate test site by 6 PM the day before the exam.
