"Can't We Get a Refund?" Netizens Complain

The stock prices of secondary battery companies, which hit their highest levels in the first half of this year, have plummeted sharply over the past two days. Especially since the 'secondary battery boom' was largely driven by individual investors, investment-related communities have turned into chaotic scenes.
On the 27th, the Naver domestic stock market EcoPro stock discussion board was filled with users' complaints. Voices mixed with sighs such as "Why is it suddenly falling?", "My account is melting," and "I don't know if this is the bottom or the top" were heard.
One user even posted, "Is there any way to get a refund for what I bought yesterday?" drawing attention. In response, other investors criticized, saying, "Where in the world do you get a refund for stocks you bought?" but also empathized with comments like, "How frustrated must you be to leave such a post? I understand."
Meanwhile, on an online community, a post from an investor boasting a 3700% return from investing in the EcoPro group attracted envy. This user shared an image certifying their profit in Korean won and said, "I never even dreamed that there would be a day to thank the short sellers. Now you can just enjoy it."
Earlier, on the 26th, EcoPro's intraday stock price soared to a record high of 1,539,000 won. However, after that, it plunged for two consecutive days, closing at 985,000 won the previous day.
In just two days, it retreated below the 1 million won mark. If there are investors who newly bought at the 1.5 million won level, their losses based on the previous day's closing price approach 36%.
Among individual investors who have been investing in secondary battery stocks, there was a flood of questions directed at former Kumyang director Park Soon-hyuk, who was nicknamed the so-called 'Battery Ajusshi'.
However, in an interview video uploaded to a YouTube channel on the 27th, former director Park said, "I invested 100 million won in about five or six stocks including EcoPro and EcoPro BM over the past month, and earned 400 million won with a total principal of 250 million won," adding, "Since I have earned enough, I don't think I will invest more. Now I need to think carefully," repeatedly urging caution.
The Korea Exchange KOSDAQ Market Headquarters designated EcoPro BM as a short-selling overheated stock starting from the 26th. Accordingly, short-selling transactions of EcoPro BM were banned in the regular market and after-hours market the previous day.
However, EcoPro BM still fell 17.25% on the 27th, closing at 376,000 won, and as a result, the short-selling ban period was extended.
Meanwhile, as of 9 a.m. on the 28th, EcoPro opened slightly down by 0.2~0.3% compared to the previous day. EcoPro BM also started trading around 375,000 won, down about 0.3%.
