Bird Warning Lifted at Nakdong River Chilseo, Mulgeum, and Maeri Points
The Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office lifted the algal bloom warnings issued at the Chilseo and Mulgeum·Maeri points of the Nakdong River as of 3 p.m. on the 27th.
The algal bloom warning at the Chilseo point was issued at the 'Attention' level on June 8, 'Alert' on June 22, and 'Attention' again on July 6. The Mulgeum·Maeri points were issued an 'Attention' level warning on June 15.
The warnings at both points were lifted as recent algae measurements were below the issuance criteria (1,000 cells/㎖) for two consecutive times.

This lifting of the algal bloom warnings is analyzed to be due to the recent heavy rainfall in the Nakdong River basin, which increased the flow rate and velocity, resulting in a decrease in the number of harmful cyanobacteria.
