Dongwon Home Food Launches New 'B-Chef' Product... "Strengthening B2B Distribution"
Selling PB Food Ingredients to Over 15,000 Client Companies
Dongwon Home Food announced on the 27th that it has launched about 10 new products under its food ingredient distribution specialty brand ‘be chef.’ and is strengthening its business-to-business (B2B) food ingredient distribution operations.
Be chef. is a private brand (PB) for food ingredient distribution launched in 2003 to provide high-quality food ingredients at reasonable prices, based on Dongwon Home Food’s know-how accumulated over more than 30 years of manufacturing seasoning products. It handles about 200 types of food ingredients, including directly manufactured sauces and dressings, processed foods, and non-food items, and has about 15,000 customers nationwide, including corporate, school, and hospital group meal service sites as well as food service franchises.
The newly introduced products include three salad dressings (kiwi, sesame, Thousand Island), two premixes (pancake mix, frying mix), three sauces (cold noodle bibim sauce, beef-flavored cold noodle broth, buckwheat soba sauce), one oyster sauce, and ten frozen processed foods (including bacon).
Dongwon Home Food is continuously expanding the product categories of its PB brand Be chef. to strengthen its domestic B2B food ingredient distribution business. In 2021, it also redefined the overall brand value by renewing the brand identity (BI) and slogan. The revised slogan conveys the meaning of “a secret chef that provides differentiated food ingredients to enhance kitchen convenience.”
It is also focusing on the digitalization of food ingredient distribution. Dongwon Home Food is expanding the distribution of Be chef. PB products on major online malls such as Coupang, and has also entered the food ingredient distribution platform ‘OrderHero,’ which has about 7,000 customers, providing integrated services from ordering to delivery of food ingredients.

A Dongwon Home Food official said, “Based on manufacturing capabilities accumulated over more than 30 years of making seasoning products, we will provide differentiated food ingredients,” adding, “We will strive to take a step further as a ‘food ingredient solution partner’ that grows together with our customers by assisting from the business planning stage to menu development and marketing.”
